The Italian way

The bottleneck
isn't production.
It's story
architecture.
60″ Episodes that don't forgive lazy writing

Italy has produced the world's most enduring dramatic traditions — from commedia dell'arte to neorealism. We believe that heritage is not a handicap in the age of microdramas. It is a competitive advantage.

Dramma is the first Italian platform to apply the rigour of professional screenwriting and production to the vertical format — at speed, at scale, without sacrificing soul.

Where others mass-produce, we craft. Where others imitate the Chinese model, we invent the Italian one.

Every beat
has to earn
attention.

The microdrama format is unforgiving. There is no padding, no slow burn, no wasted frame. Every episode opens in media res. Every scene ends on a cliffhanger. Every story is engineered for the thumb.

We bring Italian craft to this discipline — the close-up as an art form, the emotional subtext, the visual storytelling of decades of cinema culture.

Open calls

Your face.
Our
story.

Dramma is looking for actors and actresses for its original productions. Vertical microdrama is a new language — made of close-ups, reactions, silences that speak. We're looking for talents who can inhabit a smartphone frame with the same intensity as the big screen.

WRITERS ROOM

Writing for
the thumb.
Thinking for
the heart.

Vertical microdrama doesn't forgive lazy writing. 60 seconds, no introduction, a twist every thirty seconds. It's the most demanding narrative form in existence — and the most thrilling.

Dramma is looking for screenwriters with the courage to embrace this format, the discipline to master it, and the talent to make it Italian.

“Every cliffhanger has to convert retention. Every beat has to earn attention. 60-second episodes don't forgive lazy writing.”

What we look for

I

Pure dramatic instinct

You can build tension in three lines. You can end a scene before it ends. You don't need to explain what the character feels.

II

Knowledge of popular genres

Romance, thriller, supernatural, revenge. You love these genres even if you wouldn't admit it at dinner with your MFA colleagues.

III

Speed without sloppiness

One episode per day is the format's rhythm. If you're chasing the solitary masterpiece, we're not your fit. If you're chasing artisan discipline, yes.

IV

Italian voice, global reach

You know Italy well enough not to have to explain it. But you write stories a twenty-year-old in Seoul or São Paulo understands on the first frame.

V

No credentials needed

We don't care if you've written for RAI or never written anything. We care what you do with 90 seconds and a protagonist in crisis.
